Chittagong (Chattogram) Port — Our Primary Gateway
JAR LIMITED ships most export cargo via Chittagong (Chattogram) Port. We coordinate booking, packing, VGM, and export documents, then hand over to your nominated forwarder or ship on our nominated line per the agreed Incoterms (EXW / FOB / CIF).
Why Chittagong Port
Strategic Location
Direct access to Bangladesh’s main industrial corridors with established feeder connections to major transshipment hubs.
Garment-Focused Ecosystem
Well-practiced workflows for readymade garments & handicrafts—cartonized cargo, consolidated LCL, and full containers (20’/40’/40’HC).
Flexible Incoterms
We support EXW/FOB as standard, CIF on request—local port handling tailored to your buying terms.
Typical Export Flow (FOB)
- Booking: Buyer/forwarder shares booking; we align cargo ready date and cut-offs.
- Pre-Docs: Commercial Invoice & Packing List + any buyer-requested docs (COO, etc.).
- Packing & Handover: Cartonization as per size ratio; handover to forwarder’s CFS or stuffing at warehouse/ICD as arranged.
- VGM (SOLAS): Verified Gross Mass filed before the VGM cut-off.
- SI/SLI: Shipping Instructions submitted within the carrier/forwarder deadline.
- CY/CFS Cut-off: Container gate-in or LCL hand-in per schedule.
- Sailing: Feeder to regional hub (e.g., SG/Colombo/Port Klang), then mainline to POD.
- Originals: BL and final document set shared as per payment terms.
Cut-off timings vary by carrier/forwarder and sailing window. We confirm exact deadlines in each offer/PI.

LCL vs FCL — What We Recommend
LCL (Consolidated)
Good for trial/below-MOQ orders. We align hand-in at the forwarder’s CFS and provide carton count and CBM.
FCL (20’ / 40’ / 40’HC)
Best for cost-efficiency and control. Typical garment cartons are non-palletized to optimize space; palletization on request.
Carton Plan
We share size ratio, per-carton quantities, and total CBM/KGs for booking accuracy and VGM filing.
Port Handling & Coordination
- Stuffing: At warehouse/CFS/ICD as arranged with your forwarder.
- Local Charges: Handled per Incoterms (we clarify responsibilities in the PI).
- Photos: On request we share packing/stuffing snapshots for your records.
- Transit: Routing via regional hubs; ETA depends on carrier schedule and POD.

Quick Notes
- All deadlines (VGM, SI, CY/CFS) are confirmed per shipment—do not rely on generic timings.
- Labels/tags handled strictly per buyer instruction and applicable laws. No counterfeit goods.
- For LCL, early hand-in helps secure your intended sailing week.
